MegaVideo: ByPass the Viewing Time Limit

I Used To Get About 40 People A Day Complaining About Megavideo on My Site - Printed That in Every Section, Now About 1 Complaint A Day.

I'm trying it with a movie now xchong ... will let you know what happens.

Here's what I did ... opened the movie that I wanted to download in IE (Version6), clicked Play and then Pause so it would buffer and then went and did something else while I was waiting.

Went back to a bit later, it was done buffering. I clicked on Tools / Internet Options ... and from there, it was a little different than what DMan had said ... probably because I have an older version.

Clicking on Internet Options opened this up. I went to Temporary Internet files and clicked on settings.

Clicking on Settings brought this up. I clicked on View Files:

Clicking on that brought this. To make it easy to find, I clicked on

View / Arrange Icons by / Type

I looked for this image:

And from there, I looked in the Internet Address column for MegaVideo.

Found the video file and then I right clicked / copied that to my desktop. Before adding flv to it, I wanted to see if it would play in the Moyea Player ... and it did.

To make it easier, you could dump your Temporary Internet Files folder before doing this and there won't be that much in it (if you don't do anything else while you're waiting for the movie to buffer).

But I couldn't add it to my Playlist in VeohTV.

I then added an "flv" to the end of the file name. Opened up VeohTV, added it to my Library and it played perfectly.

I was quite happy because there's a couple of movies on MegaVideo that I can't find anywhere else ... now I'll be able to download them and add them to VeohTV. Many thanks DMan!

uh oh ... **bangs head off desk** the movie quit playing at exactly 72 minutes ... I hadn't even watched anything on MegaVideo today ... I wonder why this happened.

I wonder if they're losing any viewers over this time limit thing ... surely people can't be happy about this. I can't imagine that everyone would just say "ok, I'll pay" ...

**sigh** ... same thing happened in the VeohTV player too ... as soon as it got to 1:12:00, it stopped.

DMan ... what do you think ... is there anything that can be done to get around that?

thanks a lot Wynd but the movie also stop at 1:12:00 in my player damn i was watching transporter 3 T_T the new megavideo sucks i kinda like the old player...they really are forcing us to pay in order to watch movies...
